Woowa Brothers Launch 'Baemin 2.0 TF'... CEO Kim Beom-seok Says "A Risky and Difficult Moment"
Kim Beom-seok Announces Company-wide Declaration on the 12th
Woowa Brothers is launching the 'Baemin 2.0 Task Force (TF)'. This reflects a sense of urgency to transform into a new Baemin amid the rapidly changing delivery app market, including the fierce pursuit by Coupang Eats.
Kim Beom-seok, CEO of Woowa Brothers, declared 'Baemin 2.0' on the 12th at the company-wide announcement held at 'The Bigger House' in Lotte World Tower, Songpa-gu, Seoul. He likened it to climbing Mount Everest, saying, "Now is the most dangerous and difficult moment, and we must reorganize and prepare thoroughly to run toward the summit."
Since Baemin first launched its service in 2010, it has consistently maintained its position as the industry leader by a wide margin. However, recently, concerns have risen due to Coupang Eats expanding its market share. In this context, Baemin 2.0 aims to be reborn as a new Baemin through internal organizational culture improvement and strengthening of service and technology.
On this day, Woowa Brothers launched the 'Baemin 2.0 TF' with CEO Kim as the leader to enhance competitiveness. The company stated that the competitiveness of delivery services must be strengthened in four areas: customers, experience, technology, and service. They emphasized the need to enhance service competitiveness with advanced technology and to build trust with customers.
