Immediately after his appointment on the 12th, Lee held a policy meeting with members of the Damyang County Council to review key local issues and discuss policy alternatives for regional development. Council members Park Eunseo, Park Junyeop, Choi Yongman, and Jang Myeongyeop attended the meeting and exchanged various opinions on the direction of Damyang's development.
The meeting focused on major regional issues such as policies harmonizing agriculture and tourism, support for housing and jobs for young people, measures to protect small business owners, and improvements to living infrastructure. There was a consensus on the need to devise strategies to revitalize the local economy by utilizing Damyang's cultural and ecological resources.
Lee emphasized, "Since each town and township faces different realities, policies must also differ. I will listen directly to voices on the ground, reflect them in our policies, present customized pledges for each region, and bring about real change in Damyang County."
This policy meeting was Lee's first official activity after being appointed as Chairman of the Democratic Party's Damyang County Development Special Committee. At the meeting, Lee expressed his determination not only to secure strong support from the party for Damyang's future development, but also to focus all efforts on advancing key projects and securing national funding.
Meanwhile, since being confirmed as the Democratic Party candidate for Damyang County Mayor on the 8th, Lee has continued his "on-site activities," visiting various parts of the region to listen to the voices of local residents. He plans to continue holding policy meetings for direct communication with the citizens in the future.
