Paju-si, Application and Payment for Livelihood Recovery and Stability Support Fund Ends on the 14th
For Marriage Immigrants and Permanent Residents
Paju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Kyung-il) announced on the 12th that the application period for the ‘Livelihood Recovery Living Stability Support Fund’ for foreigners, aimed at stabilizing people’s lives and revitalizing the local economy, will close on the 14th.
The recipients are marriage immigrants and permanent residents registered as residing in Paju City as of 24:00 on December 26 last year. The eligibility criteria are the same as those for the emergency living stabilization support fund and disaster relief fund provided during the COVID-19 pandemic, and a separate application period was set for foreigners after the domestic applicants to avoid congestion at the service counters.
Applications can only be made in person at the administrative welfare center with jurisdiction over the place of residence from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays. Applicants must submit identification (Alien Registration Card, Permanent Resident Card, domestic driver’s license, passport) and the application form (available at the Eup/Myeon/Dong administrative welfare center) along with other required documents.
The foreigner payments of the Livelihood Recovery Living Stability Support Fund began on the 4th, targeting a total of 3,009 marriage immigrants and permanent residents. As of 6 p.m. on the 7th, the first week of applications, payments were completed for 915 people, accounting for 30.4% of the eligible recipients.
Meanwhile, the domestic payments conducted from January 21 to February 28 saw 482,314 applicants out of a total of 510,984 eligible recipients, showing a high application rate of 94.39%.
