On the 12th, the county held a regular briefing by the Civil Service Division at the county office's briefing room, announcing its commitment to enhance resident satisfaction by successfully implementing five key projects this year: ▲providing customized civil affairs administrative services ▲offering easy real estate information and notification services via text messages ▲promoting smart administration using drones and spatial information ▲conducting accurate cadastral resurvey using drone footage ▲offering high-quality land management services through proactive cadastral administration.
To provide customized civil affairs services, the county will replace outdated or frequently malfunctioning unmanned civil document issuance machines with the latest equipment. Existing machines will be upgraded with improved braille pads and screen viewing functions for people with disabilities, enhancing accessibility for all.
Additionally, for foreigners and multicultural families, nine translation and interpretation devices supporting 65 languages and two-way communication will be installed at the Civil Service Division and each township office. Thirty-six copies of a "large print civil affairs manual" will be produced for the elderly, ensuring that everyone can conveniently access civil administrative services.
The county also plans to switch the notification of individual official land price decisions, which were previously sent by mail, to a mobile alert service to better protect personal information. Measures will also be implemented to prevent disadvantages, such as notifying residents whether they are subject to development charges.
Furthermore, the county will promote systematic management of underground facilities by computerizing data and sharing it among relevant agencies. Drones will be actively used to maximize administrative efficiency in cadastral surveys, public land investigations, facility safety inspections, and disaster site searches.
In addition, during the cadastral resurvey project running through 2030, drone footage will be used for briefings and land boundary consultations. The county will also provide a "one-stop civil affairs service" that allows residents to submit and process all related requests in a single visit regarding cadastral matters.
Kim Eunbae, head of the Civil Service Division, said, "Taean County received a 'Na' grade, which is an excellent rating, in the '2024 Comprehensive Civil Affairs Service Evaluation' organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the National Human Rights Commission. We will do our best to create a Taean County where civil affairs applicants are happy by proactively addressing inconveniences and reaching out to residents first."
