Emart24 announced on the 12th that it will launch the pouch beverage type ‘1000 Black Coffee’ on the 13th.
Emart24’s strategy is to introduce a pouch beverage product with the concepts of cost-effectiveness and differentiation in anticipation of increased demand for refreshing pouch beverages as outdoor activities such as outings and camping increase with rising temperatures.
1000 Black Coffee has a larger volume and a lower price compared to existing pouch beverages (230㎖/340㎖). This product comes in a large 500㎖ size and is priced at 1,000 won. It is more than 40% cheaper compared to pouch beverages of the same volume in the convenience store industry. Even including an ice cup, it can be enjoyed for 2,300 won. It is blended with Vietnamese coffee beans as the base and Colombian espresso extract, giving it a deep flavor.
To commemorate the product launch, Emart24 is holding an event until the 31st where Emart24 app members who purchase ‘1000 Black Coffee’ will receive a 500 won voucher, allowing them to enjoy it at half price.
On the 20th, following last year’s launch of ‘Eolpoka,’ a pouch beverage mixing sports drink and drink flavors, this year Emart24 will introduce ‘Eolbaeka 340㎖ (1,100 won),’ which mixes sports drink and pear beverage, and ‘Ashatchu 340㎖ (1,100 won),’ which adds an espresso shot to sweet peach iced tea. Last year’s Eolpoka has gained popularity by ranking 1st or 2nd among pouch ade drinks every month.
Emart24 also sells private brand (PB) products such as ‘I’m I Coffee Pouch Beverages 5 types’ and ‘I’m I Aides 8 types.’ In line with the increasing daily coffee consumption pattern, they operate large 1000㎖ pouch coffees (Americano Sweet, Americano Black, Americano Hazelnut) and aides (peach) that can be consumed in multiple servings.
