BNK Gyeongnam Bank Holds 'Seeds of Hope Shared Through Participation' Event ... Supporting Local Vulnerable Groups
Plan to Raise and Deliver 10 Million KRW
with 10,000 Participants Over Five Months
BNK Kyongnam Bank is striving to create social value by planning and promoting events that deliver hope through customer participation.
BNK Kyongnam Bank will hold the "Seeds of Hope Shared Through Participation" event until July 31.
During the event period, if customers who have not agreed to marketing communications give their consent, BNK Kyongnam Bank will donate 1,000 KRW per consenting customer to support vulnerable groups in the local community.
If the number of participants reaches 10,000, BNK Kyongnam Bank plans to deliver the target amount of 10 million KRW to the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation using "Bankit," the joint social contribution platform of the Korea Federation of Banks member companies.
To participate, customers who have not agreed to marketing communications can access the event page via the BNK Kyongnam Bank mobile app or internet banking and complete the marketing consent process.
Hong Eungil, Executive Director of the Retail Customer Group, said, "We have launched this customer event to raise the target amount of 10 million KRW over five months in order to bring hope to the local community and vulnerable groups. We look forward to the interest and participation of BNK Kyongnam Bank customers who have not yet agreed to marketing communications. Moving forward, BNK Kyongnam Bank will continue to introduce a variety of financial services and hold events to create social value."
BNK Kyongnam Bank plans to promote the Seeds of Hope Shared Through Participation event through branch IPTV and social media channels such as Instagram to encourage active participation.
Meanwhile, the accumulated donations will be delivered to the "Dahoon and Grandmother's Family" supported by the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation, and used for housing improvements, educational expenses, and medical costs.
Dahoon, an 18-year-old grandson with a brain lesion disorder, and his 85-year-old grandmother, who is losing her memory, are currently living in Tongyeong.
