The Gwangju Office of Education announced on the 11th that a joint inspection of disaster-vulnerable facilities was conducted at the dormitory of Gwangju Science High School. This inspection was organized to ensure the safety of school facilities and to establish a fire prevention and response system.

View original imageThe inspection was attended by Vice Superintendent Choi Seungbok, related officials, private experts, and a parent inspection team. They checked whether fire safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, sprinklers, and fire detectors in the dormitory were functioning properly, and inspected the condition of emergency evacuation routes and evacuation guidance facilities. They also examined the management status of electrical and gas safety, reviewed the fire response manual, and assessed the overall safety management system.
Superintendent Lee Jungseon said, "We will do our best to continuously manage and supervise school facilities to prevent safety accidents."
