The six selected project units are: ▲Local Customized R&D ▲Field-oriented Advanced Talent Development ▲MEGAversity Alliance University ▲Specialized University ▲Establishment of University Lifelong Vocational Education System ▲Realization of Social Value. These projects focus on strengthening ties with the local community and achieving sustainable growth.
Additionally, through the 'K-U City Project', which will be operated with a project budget of approximately 6.7 billion KRW over five years, Daegu Catholic University will promote the 'One City/County-One University-One Specialization' model in collaboration with the region.
Through this, the university plans to nurture field-oriented talents linked to local industries, support their settlement in the region after graduation, and establish a foundation for the sustainable co-growth of the local community and the university.
In addition, the 'RISE U-Neulbom Project', with a scale of 33.5 billion KRW over five years, will also be actively promoted.
The U-Neulbom Project aims to address educational imbalances in the Gyeongbuk region and provide elementary students with high-quality and diverse educational opportunities.
Centered around Daegu Catholic University, 23 partner universities will participate, contributing to narrowing the educational gap through the development of customized educational content and the operation of care programs.
A Daegu Catholic University official stated, “Through the selection of the RISE project, we have laid the foundation for the university and the local community to grow together,” and added, “We will continue to mobilize all our capabilities to take the lead in regional development.”
