IBK, German Commerzbank Sign Business Agreement to Support SMEs
Cooperation in Startup Investment and IB Transactions
IBK Industrial Bank announced on the 9th that it signed a business agreement related to supporting small and medium-sized enterprises with Commerzbank in Frankfurt, Germany on the 6th (local time).
They plan to cooperate in sharing investment banking (IB) business opportunities, financing and trade finance operations, joint investment in startup development, and local financial support for companies entering both countries.
Commerzbank has strong competitiveness in the trade finance sector and possesses expertise in supporting mid-sized companies.
Kim Sung-tae, President of IBK, stated, "This cooperation will provide a solid foundation for companies from both countries to grow in the global market," adding, "We will continue to expand cooperation with global financial institutions to support the sustainable growth of Korean companies entering overseas markets."

IBK signed business agreements with France's public investment bank Bpifrance in 2023 and Finland's policy finance institution Finnvera last year.
