The Department of Dental Technology at Honam University (headed by Moon Junmo) announced on the 6th that it has recently signed a mutual cooperation memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Gwangju Dental Technicians Association (President Kim Yungon) for the development of the local dental technology industry.

The signing ceremony was attended by Moon Junmo, head of the Department of Dental Technology at Honam University, Professor Yoo Sanghee, and Kim Yungon, president of the Gwangju Dental Technicians Association.

Through this agreement, both parties agreed to work together for the advancement of the local dental technology industry and the cultivation of outstanding professionals.

Specifically, the two institutions will cooperate in various fields such as the development of customized educational programs in dental technology, promotion of industry-academia collaborative research projects, exchange of technical information, and joint use of research facilities and equipment.

Kim Yungon, president of the association, stated, "As AI and digital technology advance, the dental technology field is also rapidly changing. Through this agreement, we hope to find ways for the industry and universities to coexist and contribute to the development of the local community."

Moon Junmo, head of the department, said, "By cooperating with the Gwangju Dental Technicians Association, we will promote the role of dental technicians and the Department of Dental Technology, and foster competitive talents through field-oriented education."
