Jeonbuk Province to Recruit 1,300 New Participants for 'Double Savings Deposit' Program

Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province is recruiting 1,300 new participants for the 'Jeonbuk Youth Together Double Savings' program.
According to the province on the 5th, this recruitment aims to help young people achieve economic independence and support stable future planning.
The 'Jeonbuk Youth Together Double Savings' program is an asset-building support initiative where if a young person saves 100,000 KRW each month, Jeonbuk Province will match the amount with an additional 100,000 KRW, allowing participants to receive up to 5 million KRW (4.8 million KRW principal + interest) after two years.

View original imageThis program attracted great interest from the youth last year, with 14,621 applicants for 1,000 spots, resulting in a high competition rate of 14.6 to 1. This year, reflecting the high demand, the number of participants has been increased to 1,300.
Eligible applicants are working youth aged 18 to 39 who reside in Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province as of the announcement date and meet the requirement of having a median income at or below 140%.
Youth can apply online through the 'Double Savings Platform' until 6 PM on the 17th.
The province will not only support youth in building a lump sum of savings but also enhance their financial literacy and assist with systematic asset management by providing both online and offline financial education and customized consulting. In particular, basic education to prevent real estate-related damages will be included to provide practical information useful in daily life.
Cheon Youngpyeong, Director of Planning and Coordination for the province, said, "We hope that the Jeonbuk Youth Together Double Savings program will provide substantial economic support for young people and serve as a foundation for stable future planning," and added, "We will continue to actively develop and provide practical support through youth-oriented policies."
