Paldo Launches Korea's First Sugar-Free Bibimmyeon 'Paldo Bibimmyeon Zero Sugar'
Paldo announced on the 5th that it will launch 'Paldo Bibimmyun Zero Sugar,' the first domestic bibim ramen to be flavored without adding sugar.
This product uses allulose to meet the Korea Food and Drug Administration's no-sugar labeling criteria (less than 0.5g per 100g or 100ml of food).
The noodles feature a new formulation as well. Compared to existing products, the flour content has been reduced and starch content increased to enhance elasticity. The chewy texture pairs well with the liquid soup.
Paldo Bibimmyun, launched in 1984, is Paldo's representative steady seller, surpassing cumulative sales of 1.9 billion units last year. It pioneered a new market of cold, brothless mixed ramen and led the popularization of bibimmyun.
