Gwangsan-gu Gwangju Expands 'New Sports Class' for People with Disabilities
Customized Sports Programs Including Boccia and Hangung
Gwangsan-gu in Gwangju is expanding its "Joyful New Sports Class" to promote the health of residents with disabilities.
According to Gwangsan-gu on the 5th, the program will be held twice a week for ten months this year. The New Sports Class, in collaboration with the Gwangsan-gu Sports for All Association, consists of activities such as Boccia, Hangung, and sports stacking, which are easily accessible for people with disabilities. The aim is not only to improve physical fitness but also to promote social interaction through sports activities.
Park Byungkyu, the head of the district office, said, "Through the expansion of the New Sports Class, we will prepare various programs to ensure that people with disabilities can enjoy a healthy life."
