At the review council, attended by Governor Cho Sangrae and about 30 review committee members, deliberations were held for next year's budget applications for the agriculture, forestry, livestock, and food sectors.
On this day, the county proposed 67 projects totaling 37 billion KRW, including autonomous and balanced development areas. Four subcommittees, including the agricultural policy sector, thoroughly discussed the validity and suitability of each agenda item and finalized the budget application plan.
Governor Cho Sangrae said, "I would like to thank the agricultural organizations and the subcommittee members representing farmers for their efforts in developing Gokseong's agriculture and forestry sector," and emphasized, "As agriculture is Gokseong's main industry, it is necessary to proactively respond to the changing agricultural environment to create a new Gokseong by expanding eco-friendly agriculture, promoting sustainable agricultural policies, and introducing smart agriculture."
Governor Cho also stated, "We will further strengthen agricultural organizations, expand the agricultural budget, and actively reflect farmers' opinions in policies and budgets," adding, "Let us continue to work together to enhance Gokseong's agricultural competitiveness and foster sustainable future agriculture."
Meanwhile, based on the results confirmed at this review council, the county plans to foster key projects tailored to local conditions to provide practical support to farmers and to continuously discover new agriculture, forestry, livestock, and food projects. Projects approved through the council will undergo further review by South Jeolla Province and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and, once finalized, will be supported as part of the 2026 project budget.
