300,000 KRW for High School Students
Yeongam County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Woo Seunghee) is supporting new elementary, middle, and high school students with congratulatory grants to encourage their fresh start.
According to the county on the 4th, the "Congratulatory Grant Program for New Elementary, Middle, and High School Students" was established to address the population decline crisis caused by low birth rates and an aging society, and to create a better educational environment for raising children.
This year, students entering elementary, middle, and high schools are eligible to receive the congratulatory grant, but it is not provided to transfer students. Elementary school students will receive 100,000 KRW, middle school students 200,000 KRW, and high school students 300,000 KRW, all provided via the Yeongam Love Card.
Guardians can apply for the congratulatory grant at their local Eup or Myeon Administrative Welfare Center from the 4th to the 21st. For more detailed information, contact the Yeongam County Population and Youth Division.
Kim Sunmi, head of the Population and Youth Division, said, "I hope everyone applies for and receives the congratulatory grant to support students' new beginnings," and added, "We will ensure this support is helpful at the start of the semester when large expenses are often required."
