Wanju County to Hold 'Walking Challenge' Using Walkon App Until November
Mobile Walking App... Open to All Participants
Wanju County in North Jeolla Province announced on the 4th that it will hold a monthly walking challenge using the mobile walking app Walk-on until November.
The mobile app Walk-on measures participants' steps in real time by syncing with their smartphones. Anyone who is a resident of Wanju County or works in Wanju and joins the Wanju County community within the Walk-on app is eligible to participate.

View original imageParticipants who achieve the target number of steps and complete a photo verification within Wanju County during the monthly challenge will receive rewards, aiming to increase local residents' interest and encourage continuous walking habits.
To participate, install the Walk-on app from the Play Store or App Store, join the "Walking Together in Wanju" community, click the "Reserve" or "Participate" button on the challenge screen, and walk with your smartphone charged to at least 60% and mobile data turned on.
Lee Jaeyeon, head of the Public Health Center, said, "Walking is the most basic form of exercise that anyone can do anytime, anywhere, without any special skills or facilities," and added, "I hope participating in the Walk-on walking challenge will be an opportunity to improve your healthy lifestyle."
