Yeosu City to Support Photo Shoots for Multichild Families
Up to 500,000 KRW in Support
Yeosu City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Jung Kimyung) announced on the 4th that it will provide financial support for family photo shoots for families with multiple children, aiming to foster a family-friendly atmosphere and build social consensus to overcome the low birth rate.
The eligible recipients are families with two or more children (second child or above), where both parents and children have resided in Yeosu for at least one year as of this date, and the youngest child is 18 years old or younger.
Applications can be submitted by downloading the application form from the Yeosu City website's notices section and sending it via email by the 14th.
The city will select 40 families by the 21st, taking into account the number of children and length of residence, and will announce the results on its website. Selected families can receive up to 500,000 KRW in support after submitting proof of a family photo taken at a designated local studio within the specified period.
A city official stated, "We plan to hold a family photo exhibition and presentation event with the participants to share the joy of being together and to foster a positive perception of families with multiple children," adding, "We will continue to develop and implement support measures to ensure that marriage, childbirth, and parenting become happy choices."
