Gwangyang Maehwa Festival to Operate Shuttle Buses Between Festival Venue and Downtown Area
Operates Only on Four Weekend and Holiday Days, Eight One-Way Trips Available

Gwangyang City, Jeollanam-do announced on the 4th that it will operate a weekend downtown shuttle bus during the 24th Gwangyang Maehwa Festival to enhance convenience for visitors and alleviate traffic congestion.
The downtown shuttle bus is a paid service running between Jungma-dong and the festival venue, and will operate for a total of four days on weekends during the festival: March 8-9 and 15-16.

View original imageThe boarding point in Jungma-dong is the "Gwangyang City Tourist Information Center (70 Jungmajungang-ro, Gwangyang City)." The shuttle operates eight one-way trips from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and reservations can be made via a pop-up window on the Gwangyang Culture & Tourism website starting from the 1st. The round-trip fare is 5,000 KRW for adults, 4,000 KRW for military personnel, seniors, and students, and 3,000 KRW for people with disabilities and preschool children.
The shuttle from the festival venue back to Jungma-dong operates from 12:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. It is linked to the reserved boarding times in Jungma-dong (8 a.m. ↔ 12 p.m.), and "trip information" is provided below the reservation time.
Kim Miran, head of the Gwangyang City Tourism Division, said, "We decided to operate the weekend downtown shuttle bus so that tourists coming from major cities such as Seoul, Gwangju, and Busan can conveniently reach the festival venue using public transportation, starting from the Gwangyang Jungma Terminal."
She added, "Gwangyang City is making every effort to ensure convenient transportation for visitors by providing real-time traffic updates, expanding parking lots, and increasing the routes of free shuttle buses. We hope for your great interest and visit to the 24th Gwangyang Maehwa Festival."
Meanwhile, the 24th Gwangyang Maehwa Festival will welcome visitors for ten days starting from March 7, under the slogan "The Moment Maehwa Blossoms, The Time Spring Arrives," with differentiated content and a variety of programs.
