"Support for Serving Robot Installation"... Ministry of SMEs and Startups Calls for Stores in Smart Store Technology Dissemination Project
Applications Open from the 7th to the 21st
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 4th that it is recruiting stores to participate in the '2025 Smart Store Technology Diffusion Project.'
The Smart Store Technology Diffusion Project supports the introduction of smart technologies such as kiosks and serving robots in small business establishments to aid digital transformation. In this recruitment, small business owners will be invited to participate in a Software as a Service (SaaS) subscription program that provides functions such as store management and marketing support.
Additionally, small business owners who wish to adopt barrier-free kiosks will also be recruited. The support method has been diversified to cover not only the purchase cost of kiosks but also rental costs. Following the amendment and enforcement of the Act on the Prohibition of Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities, from January 28, it has become mandatory to provide barrier-free functions when installing new unmanned terminals such as kiosks in establishments with fewer than 100 employees.
Selected stores can receive support covering 70-100% of the smart technology introduction costs, up to a maximum of 5 million KRW, and vulnerable groups (simplified taxpayers, one-person self-employed, etc.) can receive up to 80% support.

Applications for support are open from the 7th to the 21st and can be submitted through the Small Business Smart Store website. After application, small business owners will be finally selected through document evaluation, and after contracting with technology supply companies, smart technologies will be disseminated starting in May. Meanwhile, other products such as serving robots, electronic whiteboards, QR orders, and access authentication systems, excluding Software as a Service and barrier-free kiosks, will be supported through additional recruitment in the future.
