KGM, Sales Decline Due to New Car Waiting Demand... 8,456 Units in February
Musso EV and Torres Hybrid Set to Launch
KG Mobility announced on the 4th that it sold a total of 8,456 units last month, including 2,676 units domestically and 5,780 units for export. Although export volume increased, domestic sales decreased by 10.5% compared to the same month last year due to waiting demand caused by new car launches.
Exports continued an upward trend with a slight increase compared to both the same month last year and the previous month, driven by increased sales of the Torres and Torres EVX in markets such as Kazakhstan and T?rkiye.
In January, KGM held its first global event of the year by launching the Actyon and conducting test drive events in rapidly growing T?rkiye. T?rkiye has a high preference for SUVs, and especially the demand for electric vehicles is significantly increasing, making it a market with great growth potential.
Domestic sales decreased compared to the same month last year due to waiting demand for new cars but increased by 16.3% compared to the previous month. KGM is aggressively responding to the market by preparing to launch new models such as the Musso EV and Torres Hybrid this month, as well as opening the 'Experience Center Gangnam,' where vehicle exhibitions and test drive experiences are available.
The Musso EV is an urban electric pickup with pickup styling, offering ample cargo space and a quiet ride, making it convenient not only for leisure activities but also for daily urban driving. The Torres Hybrid, KGM's first hybrid model, is equipped with a 'Dual Tech Hybrid System,' maximizing the characteristics of electric vehicles and the efficiency and strengths of internal combustion engines, significantly improving real-world fuel efficiency.
