Daejeon Office of Education to Recruit 64 Grade 9 Public Officials Across 8 Fields Including Educational Administration

The Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education has announced that it will recruit 64 new local government officials through the 2025 Local Civil Service Recruitment Examination.
The planned number of recruits is 64 for eight Grade 9 job categories. In the 1st Open Competitive Recruitment Examination, 47 will be selected for Educational Administration, 2 for IT, 1 for Librarian, 1 for Health, and 1 for Facilities (Architecture). In addition, through the 1st Career Competitive Recruitment Examination, 9 will be selected for Facility Management and 1 for Driver, while in the 2nd Career Competitive Recruitment Examination, 1 will be selected for Technical High School Industry (General Electricity) and 1 for Technical High School Facilities (Architecture).
The examinations will be held twice a year: the first on June 21 and the second on November 1, with applications accepted exclusively online.
Starting in 2025, the Korean and English subjects will shift from a knowledge-memorization focus to questions that assess critical thinking closely related to on-site job duties, and the test duration will be extended by 5 minutes to a total of 110 minutes.
Jung Hoigeun, Director of Administration at the Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education, stated, "We will select outstanding local talent with excellent abilities and qualifications through a fair recruitment process."
