Houses Flooded by Storm Surge in Jindo... Six People Rescued
Six people were stranded after coastal homes in Jindo, Jeonnam were flooded due to a storm surge, but all were safely rescued.
According to the Jindo Fire Station in Jeonnam on the 4th, a report of flooding at a residence was received around 2 a.m. the previous day. Three of the residents evacuated on their own, while the remaining three were rescued by fire authorities. All are reported to be in stable condition.
Fire authorities believe the flooding occurred as the storm surge swept over the coastal homes. In Jindo, a storm surge advisory was issued at 1:30 a.m. the previous day and lifted after an hour and a half.
