Sacheon-si Hosts Tree Distribution Event
Held at Three Locations: Sacheon Sports Complex, Samcheonpo Sports Complex,
and in Front of Gonyang Market
Sacheon City in Gyeongnam announced on the 4th that it will hold the '2025 Tree Distribution Event' on the 14th to commemorate the 80th Arbor Day and to promote the culture of tree planting.
This event will take place at three locations: Sacheon Sports Complex, Samcheonpo Sports Complex, and in front of Gonyang Market. The start times are from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Sacheon Sports Complex and in front of Gonyang Market, and from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Samcheonpo Sports Complex.
The distributed tree species include Daebong, Dan-gam (Taechu), Cheonrihyang, and Sekjuk, totaling 21,000 trees: 3,700 Daebong, 3,700 Dan-gam (Taechu), 3,700 Cheonrihyang, and 10,000 Sekjuk.
The city plans to distribute five trees per person on a first-come, first-served basis (1 Daebong, 1 Dan-gam (Taechu), 1 Cheonrihyang, and 2 Sekjuk) to citizens visiting the event sites.
Meanwhile, this year's tree distribution event, marking its 17th anniversary, was organized to provide an opportunity for all citizens to easily plant and nurture trees, fostering a closer relationship with nature.

A city official stated, "We hope this will be an opportunity to feel the freshness of spring, communicate with nature, and recognize the value and importance of forests," and added, "Visitors to the event are asked to follow the guidance of the event staff for smooth progress and safety."
