Hyundai AutoEver Appoints Service Platform Expert Executive Director Jo Hyun-joon
Appointed as Head of SW Development Center and Artificial Intelligence Technology Office
Hyundai AutoEver announced on the 4th that it has appointed service platform expert Hyunjoon Cho as the new head of the SW (software) Development Center. The SW Development Center is an organization that develops and operates various services such as connected car-related services, online vehicle sales platforms, and groupware.

Director Cho will also serve concurrently as the head of the Artificial Intelligence Technology Office, promoting AI strategy formulation and research and development from a company-wide perspective. The Artificial Intelligence Technology Office is building a chatbot platform tailored to corporate uses such as customer consultation and internal knowledge search.
Director Cho is recognized as a service platform expert who has led the development of core technologies and products in the mobility and e-commerce sectors. He has accumulated extensive experience over more than 20 years working at major IT companies including Samsung SDS, SK Telecom, Delivery Hero Korea (Yogiyo), and LINE Plus.
Notably, during his tenure at SK Telecom, he oversaw the development of T map, developing nationwide real-time traffic information collection and route guidance algorithms, thereby improving the quality of mobility services. He also has experience developing in-vehicle navigation solutions based on the Car Connectivity Consortium technology.
At Delivery Hero Korea, he contributed to data-driven delivery optimization and AI-based service innovation as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). At LINE Plus, he served as CTO and Chief Product Officer (CPO), leading the global product development organization. Director Cho graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Electrical Engineering, earned a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the same university's graduate school, and obtained a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University in the United States.
Director Cho said, "I will do my best to ensure that Hyundai AutoEver can establish itself as a leading global software company based on differentiated SW technology."
