Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation Provides 'Internships' to 1,000 Middle-Aged Workers
The Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation is recruiting participating companies and participants for the customized job project for middle-aged and older adults, ‘Gyeonggi Baby Boomer Internship.’
The Gyeonggi Baby Boomer Internship is a project that provides residents aged 40 to under 65 with opportunities to work as consultants utilizing their work experience and expertise to support career transitions or reemployment.
The Job Foundation classifies the project types into ‘Company-based’ and ‘Consulting-based’ according to the job demands and careers of the baby boomer generation and the needs of companies. This year, it will invest 5 billion KRW of provincial funds to support 1,000 middle-aged and older adults.
The Company-based internship supports companies located in Gyeonggi-do that hire residents aged 40 to under 65 as interns for three months by providing 1.2 million KRW per worker per month, with a total support scale of 900 people.
Companies wishing to participate can submit their application forms through the integrated application system Jobaba Apply (apply.jobaba.net) from March 4 to 28, and middle-aged and older adults hoping to join the internship can apply from March 10 until the recruitment deadline.
The Consulting-based internship is a project where 100 middle-aged and older adults with professional knowledge and skilled experience provide consulting services to companies as consultants. Gyeonggi-do will conduct essential and advanced training for consultant activities and support an activity fee of 300,000 KRW per consulting session (up to 24 sessions annually).
Companies wishing to receive free consulting in various fields such as research and development (R&D), finance, management, marketing, and export can submit applications from March 4 to April 3, and residents aged 40 to under 65 who wish to work as consultants can apply from March 10 to April 9.
The Job Foundation plans to provide ‘Company-based Internship Job Matching’ and ‘Consulting-based Demand Company-Consultant Matching Service’ through career counselors to ensure smooth operation of the internship project.
