Yeongju City, Gyeongbuk Province (Mayor Park Nam-seo) held the '106th March 1st Independence Movement Day Commemoration Ceremony' at the Yeongju Citizens' Hall on the 1st.

View original imageThis ceremony was organized to honor the March 1st Independence Movement and to remember the patriotic spirit of the ancestors.
About 400 people attended the event, hosted by Yeongju City, including Mayor Park Nam-seo, descendants of independence activists, veterans' organizations, city council members, students, and citizens.
The ceremony began with a pre-performance by the Yeongju Seonbi Wind Ensemble Volunteer Group, followed by △ commemorative speeches and congratulatory addresses △ reading of the Declaration of Independence (Moon Ji-won / Daeyeong High School 3rd year, Jeong Kyu-bin / Yeonggwang Girls' High School 3rd year) △ congratulatory performances (Gwaneumsa Children's Choir, haegeum solo performance, Yeongju Women's Choir) △ all participants singing the March 1st Independence Movement song together and three cheers of "Manse" (led by Park Jong-jin, Superintendent of Yeongju Office of Education).
