Five Candidates from Gwangju and Jeonnam Nominated for Senior Superintendent Promotion
No Promotions to Senior Commissioner
A total of five individuals from Gwangju and Jeonnam have been named for promotion to Senior Superintendent, a position often referred to as the "flower of the police."
According to the Gwangju and Jeonnam Police Agencies on the 27th, two officers from the Gwangju Police Agency?Moon Daeyeol, Chief of the Administration Division, and Noh Gwangil, Chief of the Violent Crime Division?have been selected for promotion. Moon is a graduate of the Korean National Police University (10th class), while Noh joined the force through the open recruitment for police constables.
From the Jeonnam Police Agency, three officers have been selected: Lee Gwanghyeon, Chief of the Community Police Division; Kim Minju, Chief of the Women's Protection Division; and Park Taejun, Chief of the Violent Crime Division. Lee and Kim joined through the open recruitment for police constables, while Park is a graduate of the Korean National Police University (12th class).
Meanwhile, neither the Gwangju nor Jeonnam Police Agencies produced any candidates for promotion to Senior Commissioner.
