Joint Seminar and Comprehensive Discussion Co-hosted by the Korean Society of Turfgrass Science
Over 50 Participants from Academia, Local Governments, and Turfgrass Experts Attend
The Korea Public Golf Course Association and the Korean Society of Turfgrass Science have joined hands.
They announced on the 27th that they jointly held a seminar on ‘Resource Recovery and Recycling Measures for Golf Course Turfgrass Clippings.’ Over 50 participants attended, including academics, golf course executives and staff, the Korea Forest Service, local government (Jangseong-gun), and turfgrass experts. The seminar proceeded with three presentations on the current status of turfgrass clippings at domestic golf courses and ways to improve disposal methods, followed by a comprehensive discussion.

Chairman Lim Ki-ju stated, "Golf courses are striving to create environmentally friendly golf courses," adding, "Through this seminar, I hope that laws and regulations will be improved to allow voluntary recycling, such as defining turfgrass clippings as organic resources for composting, similar to overseas cases."
