Yang Geum-hee, Governor of North Gyeongsang Province, Attends Spain 'MWC 2025' with 9 ICT Companies... Holds Local Meeting and Export Contract Signing Ceremony
From March 3 to March 6, Gyeongbuk Province will actively support the overseas expansion of ICT companies in the Gyeongbuk region through 'MWC 2025 (Mobile World Congress 2025)' held in Barcelona, Spain, and strengthen the global presence of Gyeongbuk companies in next-generation industries such as AI, beauty & healthcare, and mobile UAM (urban air mobility).
MWC 2025 will be attended by Yang Geum-hee, Deputy Governor for Economic Affairs of Gyeongbuk Province, along with officials from the AI Data Division and the Foreign Trade Division, nine ICT companies from the province, and GERI (Gumi Electronics & Information Technology Institute).
Through MWC 2025, Gyeongbuk Province aims to strengthen the global cooperation network in the ICT industry, including AI and mobile sectors, and seek collaboration plans with leading global companies in next-generation technology fields.
During MWC 2025, the province plans to actively support the overseas expansion and network expansion of Gyeongbuk ICT companies by holding local meetings and global contract signing ceremonies.
In particular, at this MWC 2025, a local contract signing event will be held between a local ICT company (KCTechnology Co., Ltd.) and a Polish company (Instytut Trychologii sp.zo.o.sp.k), expecting tangible results in inter-company cooperation through this event.

Last year, at MWC 2024, Gyeongbuk Province conducted 280 consultations (consultation amounting to $531,000, approximately 730 million KRW), and after the event, contracts worth $1,552,000 (about 2.13 billion KRW) were signed, achieving more than three times the initial consultation amount.
During MWC 2025, Deputy Governor Yang plans to visit domestic telecom booths (KT, LG Uplus) to explore collaboration opportunities with domestic companies, and arrange meetings with global companies such as KOTRA, ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute), the Israel national pavilion, and Ericsson exhibition hall to actively support the overseas expansion of Gyeongbuk companies.
