According to Jeonju Zoo on the 26th, this animal ecology interpretation program was designed to inspire curiosity, empathy, and respect for nature and animals, and to communicate with visitors about the relationships among nature, conservation, the environment, people, and animals, aiming to bring about positive and practical changes among participants.

Those wishing to participate must make a reservation in advance by phone. However, the program will not operate during the hot season and monsoon period in July and August.
Previously, Jeonju Zoo selected seven interpreters to be in charge of the animal ecology interpretation program and provided them with in-house training from animal keepers on the characteristics and habits of individual animals, animal viewing etiquette, and accident prevention.
Kim Jongdae, director of Jeonju Zoo, said, "Through the animal ecology interpretation program, I hope the zoo will become a place of learning that adds fun and interest to visitors, going beyond simply passing by the animals," and added, "We will continue to work harder to make Jeonju Zoo a place where people and animals coexist."
Meanwhile, since 2015, Jeonju Zoo has been striving to improve its facilities and environment, and in recognition of these efforts, it was selected as the nation's best institution by the Korea Zoo and Aquarium Association in 2021, 2022, and 2024, receiving the Minister of Environment Award.
