Chicken franchise Genesis BBQ Group announced on the 26th that it has opened 'BBQ South Salt Lake City' in the State of Utah, USA.
BBQ began its entry into the US market in 2007 and has been expanding its stores mainly in key areas such as New York, New Jersey, Texas, and California. Last year, BBQ further expanded into four states: Tennessee, Nebraska, Arkansas, and Indiana, increasing its presence to 30 states out of the 50 in the US. BBQ South Salt Lake City is the 31st store.

View original imageSouth Salt Lake City store has a total of 50 seats and covers approximately 175㎡ (53 pyeong). The store sells signature chicken menus such as 'Golden Fried' and 'Honey Garlic,' along with Korean dishes like tteokbokki and bulgogi rice bowls.
Utah, located west of the Rocky Mountains, is famous as a "winter sports sanctuary" frequented by skiers and snowboarders. Salt Lake City is the largest city in Utah, with a population of about 200,000. When including the surrounding metropolitan area, approximately 1.25 million people reside there.

A BBQ representative explained, "The Chinatown where the store is located has a high proportion of Asians among the floating population," adding, "Nearby, various franchise brands such as McDonald's and Taco Bell are present, allowing us to benefit from the location effect."
