The initiative has received a great response from the community.
The Yeonggwang Haengbok Dream Bus is led by a team of about ten members and plans to visit 100 senior centers annually, offering a variety of programs such as basic health check-ups (blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, osteoporosis, body measurements), traditional Korean medicine consultations, infectious disease prevention, oral health, smoking cessation education, simple stretching exercises, foot massages, and singing events.
One local senior who participated in the program said, "It was inconvenient and difficult to go to the hospital every day, but thanks to the Haengbok Dream Bus, I was able to receive traditional medicine consultations easily at the senior center. I also enjoyed a refreshing foot massage and lively singing, which made me very happy."
An official from the Yeonggwang County Public Health Center stated, "We will do our best to provide on-site, demand-driven health and medical services that meet the needs of local residents, helping to alleviate the sense of medical alienation among vulnerable groups and enabling them to lead happy and healthy lives."
