The county announced that the "2025 Taean World Tulip Flower Festival" will be held at Korea Flower Park near Kkotji Beach in Anmyeondo for about a month, from April 8 to May 6.
This festival, organized by Korea Flower Park, is a representative local event that received the World Tulip Design Award at the "2024 World Tulip Summit (WTS)" held last year in The Hague, Netherlands. This year, under the theme "Spring of Hometown," 2.7 million tulips and 1.4 million other flowers will welcome visitors seeking spring.
The venue is divided into three scenic areas: the first area highlights the beauty of tulips through bold lines, the second emphasizes harmony with the surrounding landscape such as pine trees, sky, and cherry blossoms, and the third recreates the musical score of "Spring of Hometown."
In addition to colorful tulips, a variety of spring flowers such as canola, cherry blossoms, daffodils, and hyacinths will provide new sights to enjoy. The Halmi and Halabi Rocks and the crimson sunset at Kkotji Beach, known as one of the three most beautiful sunsets on the West Sea, will offer visitors unforgettable memories.

We have chosen a theme that evokes the tranquil scent of home and are focusing on creating an experience considerate of both children and seniors."
The organizers plan to significantly expand the walking paths compared to previous years, allowing tourists to see and experience the flowers up close. At the same time, they are working to transform the venue into a "barrier-free tourist site" by easing slopes throughout the area and installing artificial turf for the convenience of people with disabilities, seniors, and children.
Additionally, in preparation for the successful hosting of the "Taean International Horticultural Therapy Expo" at the same location next year, a 706-square-meter indoor exhibition hall will be provided to the organizing committee to create a "Horticultural Therapy Hall" (tentative name), delivering a message of mutual growth and cooperation.
A county official said, "The flower festival, which began with the united efforts of local residents, has grown significantly and become a model for the regional tourism industry. We hope many people will take an interest in this festival, where the charm of spring can be fully enjoyed."
