Gyeongnam Eastern Veterans Affairs Office Visits Independence Patriots' Graves Including Changwon Jinjeon National Cemetery
The Gyeongnam Eastern Veterans Affairs Office under the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs paid tribute at the Changwon Jinjeon National Cemetery on the 25th in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of Liberation and the March 1st Movement.
The Changwon Jinjeon National Cemetery is a joint burial site for the 8 martyrs who died during the April 3 Samjin Uprising in 1919. It was designated as a national cemetery in 2022 to honor the noble sacrifice and spirit of the 8 martyrs.
On this day, to commemorate the sacrifice and dedication of the 8 martyrs, Jang Geum-yong, the 1st Deputy Mayor of Changwon Special City, Park Dong-jin, Mayor of Masanhappo-gu, and Park Hyung-in, head of the Liberation Association branch, participated together.
