Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon urged, regarding the collapse accident that occurred on the Anseong section of the Seoul-Sejong Expressway on the 25th, "Please mobilize all available resources and prioritize human rescue."
Governor Kim Dong-yeon canceled the scheduled New Year's greeting event for Gyeonggi residents that day and headed to the accident site around 10:30 a.m.
Gyeonggi Province announced that it has issued a Level 2 response related to this accident, and Cho Sun-ho, head of the Gyeonggi Fire and Disaster Headquarters, and others have been dispatched to the site to jointly respond with the Chungnam Fire Headquarters.

According to the fire authorities earlier, at around 9:49 a.m. that day, a structure on a bridge collapsed at a highway construction site in Dorim-ri, Ipjang-myeon, Seobuk-gu, Cheonan-si, Chungnam. It is known that eight workers were buried in this accident, and rescue operations are underway at the site.
