Showcasing Next-Generation AI Technologies Through Practical Applications
The three major domestic mobile carriers will showcase a comprehensive range of next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) technologies at ‘MWC 2025,’ held next month in Barcelona, Spain. Each company plans to demonstrate its global competitiveness through AI-based innovative technologies in business solutions, security technologies, and personalized services. In particular, they are expected to focus on proving their technological capabilities through practical applications of AI technology.
In the business solutions sector, KT will feature AI agent solutions focused on improving corporate work efficiency at its 383㎡ ‘K-Street’ booth. Visitors will be able to experience practical applications such as wireless market analysis, GPU resource optimization, and carbon emission monitoring. Notably, KT, which has been collaborating with Microsoft since last year, is likely to unveil real-world use cases of the Korea-specific AI model developed jointly by the two companies in the ‘K-Office’ themed space.
In the security technology domain, LG Uplus and SKT will present noteworthy solutions. LG Uplus will reveal anti-deepvoice, post-quantum cryptography (PQC), and on-device AI technologies to be applied to its mobile AI agent ‘Iksio.’ These technologies are expected to be used for detecting deepfake voices, preventing voice phishing, and establishing security systems in preparation for the quantum computing era.

This solution is equipped with functions that analyze vast amounts of telecom data using AI to detect security threats in advance. It offers versatility by providing fraud detection models for corporate clients and spam filtering models for mobile communication users.
