LG U+ to Prevent Hacking and Phishing with AI... Security Technology Unveiled at MWC
Anti-DeepVoice and PQC Technologies to Be Applied to Iksio Unveiled
AI Detects Fake Voices... Data Encrypted with Post-Quantum Cryptography
LG Uplus is taking the lead in preventing customer personal information leaks and hacking·phishing damages through its self-developed artificial intelligence (AI) and PQC (Post-Quantum Cryptography) technology.
LG Uplus announced on the 25th that it will unveil technologies such as ▲Anti-DeepVoice ▲Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) ▲On-Device AI, which are scheduled to be applied to Iksio, at Mobile World Congress 2025 (MWC2025) opening on the 3rd of next month in Barcelona, Spain.

View original imageAnti-DeepVoice, developed by LG Uplus, is a technology that enables AI to detect machine-generated forged voices. This technology has gained attention recently as it has become easier to replicate and forge the voices of specific individuals due to advances in TTS (Text to Speech) technology.
LG Uplus utilized various TTS technologies centered on its self-developed TTS model to train AI on both real human voices and AI-forged voices. Through this, the AI was implemented to detect subtle unnaturalness in machine-generated voice pronunciations and abnormal patterns in the voice frequency domain. LG Uplus plans to enhance voice phishing detection services by embedding Anti-DeepVoice technology into the mobile AI agent 'Iksio.'
Additionally, LG Uplus plans to improve the stability of AI services by utilizing security technologies such as Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC). PQC is a cryptographic technology designed based on problems that cannot be solved even by quantum computers. LG Uplus plans to implement quantum cryptography security technology in software form and embed it into Iksio. Through this, LG Uplus aims to enhance the security of AI services so that even if Iksio users lose their smartphones, others cannot access their personal information.
On-Device AI technology will also be advanced. While cloud-based AI services store customers' personal information on servers, raising concerns about information leaks through hacking, implementing services with On-Device AI stores personal information only on the customer's device, allowing safe use of the service. LG Uplus plans to enhance On-Device AI functionality and apply it to Iksio.
Han Young-seop, head of LG Uplus AI Tech Lab, said, "By applying differentiated security technologies and solutions to Iksio, we will provide the safest AI service and showcase LG Uplus's differentiated AI technological capabilities in the global market. We will strive to strengthen not only security but also the convenience features of Iksio to offer an AI service with top-tier security in the global market."
