Gyeonggi Office of Education Prepares Contract Work Improvement Plan... Effective from April
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has prepared an ‘Improvement Plan for Contract-related Tasks’ and will implement it starting from April.
The Office explained that the improvement plan was developed to prevent damages caused by repeated contracts with unreliable and unfaithful companies and to enhance transparency in the process of private contract agreements.
Specific details of the improvement plan include ▲expanding the scope of exclusion for private contracts ▲establishing regulations to limit the number of private contracts with the same company per year by each ordering agency ▲improving the operation standards of the goods selection committee ▲imposing heavier penalties on dishonest contractors for repeated poor performance ▲actively utilizing the ‘Request for Quotation’ function in designated information processing devices (G2B, S2B) ▲registering post-contract evaluations and sharing evaluation contents, among others.
Additionally, by reflecting the 10 types of ‘Integrated Contract Performance Pledges’ required at the time of contract signing into the School Market (S2B) system for automatic printing, it has been improved so that the responsible personnel can easily utilize them.
An official from the Office of Education stated, "We have informed affiliated organizations that the ‘Improvement Plan for Contract-related Tasks’ containing these details will be implemented from April 1," adding, "We allowed about a one-month grace period to minimize confusion in the educational field ahead of the new semester."
