Jeju-do Launches Full-Scale Weekly Employment Trend Monitoring System
Recruitment Information from Public Institutions and Investment Companies at a Glance
Jeju Special Self-Governing Province has established a weekly employment trend monitoring system to proactively respond to employment instability caused by the regional economic downturn. This measure aims to address the deterioration of the local job market amid increasing domestic and international economic uncertainties.
The weekly employment trends include quantitative indicators such as employment and unemployment rates, as well as weekly issues featuring recruitment information from public institutions and investment companies. Quantitative indicators cover monthly employment and unemployment rates, the number of employed and unemployed individuals, and weekly data on job openings and seekers, unemployment benefit payments, and employment retention support. This allows for a comprehensive overview of employment indicators in the Jeju region.
The weekly issues provide timely employment-related information, including recruitment news from public institutions and companies, regional job fairs, and employment policies.
Jeju Province plans to use the weekly employment trends to immediately identify changes in the job market and establish effective employment policies. The weekly employment trends will be made available to residents via the Jeju Province website and the "Provincial News" section of local daily newspapers. Through this, residents can easily access information on the regional employment situation, job opportunities, and related policies at a glance.
Kim Miyeong, Director of Economic Vitality at Jeju Province, stated, "Through weekly employment trend monitoring, we will prepare practical job measures tailored to Jeju's circumstances," adding, "By sharing this with residents, we aim to improve accessibility to the job market and resolve employment mismatches."
