Golfzon County Completes Caddy Training Program for North Korean Defectors
A Social Contribution Activity Started in 2014
Seven Graduates Assigned to Golfzon County’s Hope Workplaces
Golfzon County announced on the 24th that it held the graduation ceremony for the 11th Saessak Caddy Training Program for North Korean defectors at Golfzon County Jincheon in Jincheon, Chungbuk on the 19th.
The Saessak Caddy Training Program is a social contribution activity conducted since 2014 in collaboration with the South-North Hana Foundation under the Ministry of Unification to promote the economic independence and stable social settlement of North Korean defectors. So far, it has produced 137 trainees and 95 graduates.

From November last year, a training course lasting about three months was conducted, covering theoretical and practical education necessary to become professional caddies. Seven graduates who completed the program with excellent grades will be assigned to Golfzon County’s Hope Workplaces in the future.
