Man in His 60s Dies After Being Crushed by Tree While Cutting Wood at Mother's Graveyard
A man in his 60s died after being crushed by a falling tree while carrying out logging work at his mother's grave site.
According to the Haenam Police Station in Jeonnam on the 24th, at around 11:16 a.m. the previous day, Mr. A (in his 60s) was crushed by a 15-meter-tall oak tree on a hillside in Gyegok-myeon, Haenam-gun. The 119 emergency rescue team responded to the call and transported Mr. A, who was in cardiac arrest, to the hospital, but he died during treatment.
Mr. B (in his 60s), a relative who was working with Mr. A, also suffered minor injuries after being struck by the tree. Police believe the accident occurred while they were logging at Mr. A's mother's grave site and are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
