The Gokseong County Future Education Foundation held the "2025 Winter Vacation Children and Youth Water Disaster Class" for local children and adolescents from the 17th to the 21st at the Gokseong Creative Convergence Education Center, Kumkiummaru. Provided by Gokseong County

Gokseong Future Education Foundation announced on the 22nd that it successfully concluded the "2025 Winter Vacation Mathematics Classroom for Children and Youth" (hereinafter referred to as the Mathematics Classroom).

This program was held from the 17th to the 21st at the Gokseong Creative Convergence Education Center Kkumkiummaru. The classes aimed to foster a positive attitude toward mathematics and enhance learning abilities by improving mathematical skills through play-based math activities and board games.

The Mathematics Classroom operated two programs: a complete learning program for prospective middle school students and a play-based math program for 4th to 6th grade elementary students. The complete learning program for incoming 1st-year middle school students in Gokseong focused on reviewing key math units from 5th and 6th grade, helping students solidify their understanding of basic concepts. The play-based math program for 4th to 6th graders provided experiences with multiplication, division, the four basic operations, and board games, followed by problem-solving activities tailored to each grade level.

A student who participated in the Mathematics Classroom shared, "Learning math, which I usually found difficult, became much more fun through games, and I gained confidence by solving problems on my own."

Gokseong Future Education Foundation plans to run additional play-based math programs during the first semester of this year, including school visits for 3rd graders and weekend programs. The foundation will continue to offer a variety of educational programs to further strengthen students' mathematical learning abilities.
