"Find the Independence Movement Funds"... Republic of Korea History Museum 3·1 Movement Day Event
March 1, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Family Participation Event to Be Held
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History will hold a cultural experience event titled "The Cry of That Day, Our Shout" to commemorate the March 1st Movement.
On March 1st, the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History will host various interactive activities such as solving independence movement puzzles, making Mugunghwa flowers, and participatory theater.
In the "participatory theater," the audience can take on secret missions from the March 1st Independence Movement and join in shouting "Daehan Doknip Manse" (Long live Korean independence). Through the "solving independence movement puzzles" event, visitors can enjoy searching for exhibits containing the 'secrets' of modern history, such as the 1919 March 1st Declaration of Independence, receipts for independence movement funds, and photos of comrades from the Harbin incident, throughout the museum. Families who solve the puzzles will receive commemorative gifts.
Han Su, director of the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History, stated, "We hope that children and families can meaningfully share and appreciate the historical significance of the March 1st Movement through this cultural experience event."
