SPC Samlip Rides the 'Home Cook' Trend, Triples 'Tortilla' Production
Expansion of Tortilla Production Line

Whole Wheat Tortilla to Launch in the First Half of the Year
SPC Samlip announced on the 20th that it has expanded its 'Tortilla' production line, securing approximately three times the additional production capacity compared to before.
Since the second half of last year, demand surged to the point where even running the existing factory's production line at full capacity could not meet supply, leading to the decision to expand starting January this year.
Samlip's tortilla sales grew by 20% year-on-year last year. This is because the recent spread of the 'home cook' trend and the increase in consumers preferring healthy diets have made short-form videos featuring diet recipes using tortillas?such as pizza, tacos, wraps, and chips?popular on social media.
Samlip plans to expand its tortilla lineup by utilizing the expanded production line to develop various recipes that meet consumer needs. It intends to broaden choices by launching health-conscious products such as whole wheat tortillas in the first half of the year.
