Jangseong County Continues 'Kkumkium Voucher' Support for Youth This Year
Providing Points for Culture, Education, and Leisure
For Youth Aged 9 to 18
Jangseong County in Jeollanam-do announced on the 19th that it will continue the Dream Nurturing Voucher program for local youth this year.
This program provides voucher points that can be used like cash for culture, leisure, and education to youth aged 9 to 18. The amount is 70,000 KRW per year for those aged 9 to 13, and 100,000 KRW per year for those aged 14 to 18.
Youth who have previously received and used a voucher card will have their points automatically recharged. For newly eligible youth born in 2016, students or their guardians can apply by visiting the administrative welfare center for their address with an ID. The usage period is until December 20 of this year, after which the points will automatically expire.
Last year, the county supported 2847 local youth with approximately 221 million KRW. The points were mainly used at bookstores and stationery stores, beauty salons, opticians, school uniform and photo shops, and arts and sports academies.
County Governor Kim Hanjong said, "We will continue to provide support so that young people can pursue their dreams without worry."
