Jeonnam Provincial Council Holds Workshop to Strengthen Local Councilors' Job Competency
Implementing a "Council That Works Well"
with Over 150 Participants
The South Jeolla Provincial Council announced on the 19th that it held a job competency enhancement workshop at the Jeonnam Women and Family Foundation performance hall for about 150 staff members from the provincial and city/county councils.
This workshop was conducted under the themes of local legislative drafting and review, as well as domestic and international economic trends and political outlook.

View original imageThe main educational content included lectures aimed at strengthening practical skills necessary for the legislative process, such as case studies on drafting and reviewing ordinances, practical training on local legislation, and analysis of exemplary local government ordinances. There was also a session to enhance participants' understanding of international economics and current affairs.
Kim Taekyun, the council chairperson, stated, "This workshop focused on developing the legislative practical skills of local council staff and gaining insight into the changing domestic and international environment. As staff expertise increases, the quality of legislative support also improves, so we will continue to implement competency enhancement programs to create a 'council that works well.'"
