Korean Man Arrested for Assaulting Employee Who Stopped Idol Filming at Japanese Airport
Japanese Police Investigate on Suspicion of Obstruction of Official Duties
A Korean woman in her 20s was arrested on charges of assaulting a customs officer who stopped her from filming a male idol in a prohibited area at Fukuoka Airport in Japan.
According to Mainichi Shimbun on the 19th, the woman struck a customs officer in his 30s on the chest with her elbow around 8:20 PM on the 17th at the international passenger terminal of Fukuoka Airport. She was arrested on the spot by another officer.
Reports state that the woman filmed a Korean idol male near the baggage inspection area where photography is prohibited. She reportedly became enraged when the customs officer stopped her.
Mainichi Shimbun reported, "The woman denies the charges, claiming she was not angry and did not hit the customs officer."
Japanese police are investigating on suspicion of obstruction of official duties, and the woman remains in custody.

A representative of the Korean Consulate General in Fukuoka told Yonhap News, "We requested a swift and fair investigation from the Japanese police yesterday," adding, "We are providing necessary consular assistance."
