CJ Chairman Lee Jae-hyun Visits Hanjin Transportation "Must Have Urgency for Growth"
On-site Management, Second Visit After CJ OnStyle
"We Must Go Global Based on IT Capabilities"
CJ Group announced on the 18th that "Chairman Lee Jae-hyun visited CJ Logistics as part of on-site management." This is the second time this year that Chairman Lee has visited an affiliate.
On this day, the chairman said, "CJ Logistics is a technology company," and added, "We must expand globally based on our information and communication (IT) capabilities." He also stated, "We must have a sense of urgency for growth," and "I will make this a company where talented individuals can grow." Present at the meeting were Shin Young-soo, CEO of CJ Logistics; Yoon Jin, CEO of CJ Logistics Korea Business Division; and Kim Hong-gi, CEO of CJ Corporation. CJ Logistics recorded consolidated sales of 12.1168 trillion KRW and operating profit of 530.7 billion KRW last year, representing increases of 3.0% and 10.5% respectively compared to the previous year.
On the 7th, Chairman Lee visited the headquarters of CJ ENM Commerce Division (CJ OnStyle) to review future business strategies. He praised, "Last year, CJ OnStyle led market changes by adopting mobile live commerce (MLC) as a new growth engine amid challenging internal and external environments," and emphasized, "We must not be complacent with our achievements but proactively respond to trend changes to accelerate market dominance with unique competitiveness."
Chairman Lee urged, "If we do not focus our business capabilities on mobile-centered new business models, we cannot survive," and called for securing a clear number one position in the domestic MLC market. He further requested, "Based on domestic success, please passionately strive to grow globally and become a company that leads lifestyle trends in broader markets."

Last year, Chairman Lee also visited CJ Olive Young and CJ Logistics early in the year to review business performance and communicate with employees. In September, he toured global business sites including CJ Logistics' Saudi Global Distribution Center (GDC).
