Gyeonggawon Launches Global Market Expansion in Southeast Asia and Europe... Recruiting 30 Companies
The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency is launching efforts to open export channels for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the province.
On the 18th, the agency announced that it is recruiting participating companies for the '2025 Global Market Development Team' in cooperation with Namyangju, Paju, and Pocheon cities until the 27th of this month.
The Global Market Development Team will support one-on-one export consultations with local buyers in five regions: Southeast Asia, Japan, Oceania, and Europe.
To this end, the agency will select six companies per region, helping a total of 30 companies enter overseas markets.
The dispatch schedule is as follows: ▲ May - Southeast Asia (Thailand, Vietnam) ▲ June - Japan (Tokyo, Osaka) ▲ July - Oceania (Australia, New Zealand) ▲ September - Europe (T?rkiye, Azerbaijan) and Southeast Asia (Malaysia, Singapore).

View original imageThe agency will provide participating companies with customized local market research reports, professional interpreter support, 50% airfare support (one person per company), group transportation, local buyer discovery and matching, and overseas marketing (product promotion, sample shipment).
In October, the agency will also hold an export consultation meeting inviting buyers in collaboration with Namyangju City and the World Federation of Overseas Korean Traders Associations (World-OKTA). This event will be linked with the World Korean Business Convention, supporting on-site consultations between over 1,200 overseas buyers and 10 companies based in Namyangju.

Kang Ji-hoon, Executive Director of the Economic Division at the agency, stated, "With the global trade environment rapidly changing, discovering new strategic markets is urgent. We will especially focus on actively targeting Southeast Asia and emerging European markets to enhance the export competitiveness of our companies."
