The event featured various programs such as congratulatory speeches, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, institution tours, and performances by children.
The Okjeong Leaders Garden Together Care Center is located within an apartment complex, providing a convenient environment for local children to access after-school care services. This is expected to alleviate childcare burdens for dual-income and single-parent families and offer systematic care services to children.
The Together Care Center is a facility that provides various care services, including education and experiential programs, for elementary school students aged 6 to 12 to address the blind spots in after-school care and reduce parenting burdens for parents such as those in dual-income families.
Mayor Kang Su-hyun said, “We expect that the opening of the Okjeong Leaders Garden Together Care Center will eliminate care blind spots within Okjeong New Town,” adding, “Yangju City will continue to support children so that they can grow up in a safe and comfortable environment.”
